KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has initiated a nationwide survey to collect details regarding land registered under the names of community schools and learning centres, including land use and related issues.
The Ministry, through the Center for Education and Human Resource Development, will gather information from districts across the country to address concerns over encroachment and misappropriation of school land, according to Minister Mahabir Pun.
He stated that the move aims to ensure proper management and utilisation of land belonging to educational institutions. Currently, 73 percent of Nepal’s 35,447 schools are community schools.
