KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) closed marginally higher on Friday, despite 124 companies recording a decline in share prices.
A total of Rs 3.49 billion worth of shares changed hands, while the NEPSE index rose 1.13 points, closing at 2,544.73 points.
Although the market showed a slight overall gain, 123 companies posted increases, and the prices of eight companies remained unchanged.
Among sectoral indices, banking, finance, hotel and tourism, hydropower, microfinance, mutual fund, and trading sub-indices ended the day in positive territory, reflecting selective gains across the market.
