KATHMANDU: The Startup Network Nepal (TSN) has announced Rs 1.2 million cash prize for the top emerging startups that will pitch at Startup Summit Nepal 2025. Organisers said the prize is intended to boost innovation and accelerate the growth of the country’s startup ecosystem.

Set to take place on December 20 at Aloft Kathmandu Thamel, Startup Summit Nepal 2025 is expected to be one of the region’s largest entrepreneurial gatherings and will bring together entrepreneurs, investors, industry leaders, corporate partners and ecosystem enablers from Nepal, India and beyond.

“We believe Nepali startups are ready to make a global impact,” TSN said, adding that the cash prize will reward breakthrough ideas and support founders who are solving real problems with innovation and determination. The summit, the organisers said, will serve as a gateway for high-potential startups to access capital, mentorship and international visibility.

The pitching competition will evaluate entrants on innovation, scalability, market potential, team strength and global relevance. In addition to the cash award, winners will receive investor‑connect sessions, incubation support and media coverage across leading national and international platforms.

Applications for the pitching competition opened today, and TSN has urged startups across Nepal and South Asia to prepare their pitches and apply. Organisers said the summit aims to create lasting partnerships and deliver tangible outcomes for founders beyond the event itself.

The Startup Network Nepal is a platform dedicated to empowering startups through mentorship, funding access, global partnerships and high‑impact events, acting as a bridge between Nepali founders and global opportunities.
