Consumables shortage affects BPKIHS dental services

KATHMANDU: A shortage of dental consumables has affected daily services across departments within the College of Dental Surgery at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS), the institute said.

The shortage has created a situation in which treatment may be delayed and some services may need to be temporarily limited, the institute added.

The hospital administration has already expedited procurement and is prioritising the purchase and supply of the required materials. Dental services will resume fully as soon as the items are available, the notice read.

Meanwhile, BPKIHS has apologised for the inconvenience caused to patients and service recipients and has expressed gratitude for their patience, understanding and cooperation.
