Google releases Gemini 3 AI model, introduces Deep Think reasoning mode

SAN FRANCISCO: Google on Tuesday announced the release of Gemini 3, its latest and most advanced AI model.

The company stated that Gemini 3 is "the best model in the world for multimodal understanding" and its most powerful agentic and vibe coding model to date.

The model offers richer visualisations and deeper interactivity built on state‑of‑the‑art reasoning capabilities demonstrated across key AI benchmarks, according to Google.

"Gemini 3 is our most intelligent model, that combines all of Gemini's capabilities together so you can bring any idea to life," Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and Alphabet, said in a statement, noting that Gemini 3 is "much better at figuring out the context and intent behind your request, so you get what you need with less prompting."

Google on Tuesday also introduced Gemini 3 Deep Think, an enhanced reasoning mode designed to extend the model's performance further. The company said the feature will first be provided to safety testers before rolling out to Google AI Ultra subscribers.
