CHITWAN: Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs Forum (NYEF) Chitwan chapter organised a workshop titled “Road to IPO & Credit Rating” on November 21 to boost financial literacy and prepare local businesses for capital market entry.
FCA Nishan Poudel, President of NYEF Chitwan, opened the programme with a welcome address, underlining the need for capacity-building initiatives to help emerging enterprises in the region scale and access formal financing channels.

NIMB Ace Capital Deputy Chief Executive Officer Sachindra Dhungana led a session on strategic planning for initial public offerings. He outlined steps companies should take to prepare for an IPO, discussed the current IPO market scenario in Nepal, and highlighted common mistakes entrepreneurs make during the listing process.
Anup Raj Upreti, Managing Partner at Pioneer Law Associates, presented the legal framework for public offerings, detailing regulatory requirements, compliance obligations, and key documentation firms must arrange before pursuing a public issuance.
CareEdge Ratings Nepal Chief Executive Officer Ananda Prakash Jha explained the credit rating process and emphasised how financial health and corporate governance directly affect a company’s rating, investor confidence, and market perception.
Organisers said the workshop provided practical guidance and a clearer understanding of IPO readiness and the importance of credit ratings for Chitwan-based entrepreneurs, aiming to equip local businesses with the knowledge needed to pursue growth through public markets and improved creditworthiness.
