HANOI: The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) has projected total passenger traffic to reach 84 million in 2025, up 11.4% year on year, Vietnam News Agency reported on Monday.
Uong Viet Dung, director of the CAAV, said the upward momentum is expected to continue into 2026, with passenger numbers forecast to rise 13% to 95 million.
Vietnam's aviation sector handled 69.3 million passengers in the first 11 months of this year, an increase of 10.8% over the same period last year, according to the authority.
Of the total, domestic passenger traffic reached 30.9 million, up 7.4%, while international passengers numbered 38.4 million, up 13.6%, the report said.
