KATHMANDU: Three standout players from the second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) were awarded Pulsar motorcycles by Golchha Group in recognition of their performances in the tournament.
Hansraj Hulaschand & Company, operating under Golchha Group as the league’s Two Wheeler Partner, presented Pulsar N160 motorcycles to Rohit Kumar Paudel, Sandeep Lamichhane and Sher Malla during an award ceremony held on Saturday.
Rohit Kumar Paudel, who captained the championship-winning Lumbini Lions, finished the season as the leading run-scorer with 276 runs. Sandeep Lamichhane, skipper of Biratnagar Kings, emerged as the tournament’s highest wicket-taker with 17 wickets. Lumbini Lions’ Sher Malla was named Emerging Player of the Season after claiming 17 wickets for his side.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Golchha Group Director Abhimanyu Golchha said the company remained committed to supporting sports through strategic partnerships. He added that the awards were presented in line with an agreement made ahead of the tournament.
The award arrangement was formalised on October 30 through an agreement between Golchha Group and the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) to recognise the league’s top three performers.
The second season of the Nepal Premier League began on November 17 at the Kirtipur International Cricket Stadium and concluded on Saturday, December 13.
