KATHMANDU: Finance Minister Rameshore Prasad Khanal has underscored the need to reinforce economic cooperation between Nepal and China and to increase investment accordingly.
In his address at a programme on Nepal–China cooperation and investment organised on Tuesday, Finance Minister Khanal said the Government of Nepal has launched various schemes for economic reform to enable Chinese investors to mobilise their capital with confidence.
“Nepal and China can further enhance cooperation by identifying various sectors for investment, which could help attract foreign investment,” the finance minister added.
On the occasion, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song spoke about the multidimensional relations between China and Nepal. He said China is interested in investing in industry, energy and infrastructure construction in Nepal.
