KATHMANDU: MetLife Nepal celebrated its 24th anniversary this month, marking more than two decades of operations and reaffirming its commitment to protecting millions of Nepalis.
Employees and their families joined the company’s leaders at a special event that highlighted recent milestones and the insurer’s expanding role in the country. Over the years, MetLife Nepal said it has supported Nepalis through life’s celebrations, changes and challenges while investing in greater access and convenience for customers.
The company pointed to digitalisation and simplified processes as key drivers of that effort, noting it was the first insurer in Nepal to introduce health management through the '360Health' service and the mobile app 'One by MetLife'. MetLife Nepal said these tools reflect a blend of global expertise and local understanding aimed at improving guidance and support for Nepali families.
“We are excited for the years ahead, and we are committed to growing with Nepal to fulfil our purpose: to help our customers build a more confident future,” said Elena Butarova, Head of MetLife Bangladesh, Malaysia, Nepal and Vietnam.
MetLife Nepal also thanked its staff for contributing to the company’s recognition as a 'Great Place to Work' this year. The insurer highlighted employee-led community and wellbeing initiatives spanning health, financial literacy, education, environmental awareness and community upliftment, saying protection extends into all aspects of everyday life.
