CAN Federation felicitates Dr Giri for contributions to ICT sector

KATHMANDU: Federation of Computer Association Nepal (CAN Federation) has felicitated Dr Shailendra Giri for his contributions to the information and communication technology (ICT) sector.

Dr Giri, a former central committee member of the CAN Federation, was honoured on Monday during the Hi‑Tech CAN B2B Summit 2025 and the organisation’s 32nd general meeting.

The CAN Federation said Dr Giri was recognised for his leadership qualities, academic excellence and his role in the development of the country’s ICT sector.

Dr Giri is a researcher and ICT innovator and has also contributed to public administration.

After receiving the honour, Dr Giri pledged to remain proactive in knowledge production, innovation and the growth of the ICT sector, adding that partnership between the state, the private sector and academic institutions was needed to attract the new generation to research and technology.
