TikTok reveals Nepal's top searches for 2025

KATHMANDU: TikTok has released its list of the most searched words on the platform in Nepal for 2025. The list offers a snapshot of what Nepalis were most curious about last year, from festival preparations and music trends to travel destinations and popular shows.

The company said the list reflects how TikTok Search is increasingly used as a discovery tool for real life, with users turning to the platform to learn quickly, stay informed as news unfolds, find local‑style inspiration and get recommendations from creators who understand Nepal’s context and culture.

“TikTok Search has become an essential part of daily life in Nepal,” said Umais Naveed, Content Operations Lead, South Asia at TikTok. “People are not just watching videos — they are actively seeking information, recommendations, and context in real time. Whether it is tracking the latest sporting moments, planning a weekend trip, learning something new, or checking reviews before buying, Nepalis are turning to TikTok to make everyday decisions.
