KATHMANDU: Nepal Mediciti Hospital has unveiled its official mascot, ‘Medi Prasad,’ to mark the New Year 2026.
The hospital, the first in Nepal accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH), said the mascot embodies its core slogan, ‘Quality Healthcare Now Within Your Reach,’ and aims to make international‑level health services accessible to all Nepalis.
The launch reflects the long‑term vision of founding chairperson Dr Upendra Mahato to reduce the need for Nepali citizens to travel abroad for medical treatment and to develop Nepal into a medical hub for foreign patients, the hospital said.
Alongside the mascot, Nepal Mediciti has introduced the Wellness Package 2026 through ‘Medi Prasad’. Under the package, both the women’s and men’s health checkups are priced at Rs 9,500, representing a special discount of approximately 50%.
The hospital urged people to start the New Year in a healthy and conscious manner by utilising world‑class technology, an experienced team of doctors and services that adhere to international standards at affordable prices.
The special wellness scheme runs from January 1, 2026, to January 31, 2026, the hospital said.
