Gold trades at Rs 277,200 per tola, silver at Rs 5,645 as prices rise

KATHMANDU: Price of gold and silver has risen slightly in the domestic market, continuing a five‑day upward trend, the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association (FENEGOSIDA) said.

Today, one tola (11.66 grammes) of gold is priced at Rs 277,200, while one tola of silver is Rs 5,645, FENEGOSIDA said.

On Thursday, one tola of gold was traded at Rs 276,500 and silver at Rs 5,485. On Wednesday, gold stood at Rs 278,000 per tola and silver at Rs 5,655. On Tuesday, gold was Rs 276,500 per tola and silver Rs 5,340. Last Sunday hallmark gold was traded at Rs 270,600 per tola and rose by Rs 4,100 to reach Rs 274,700 yesterday.

In the international market, gold is trading at $4,615 per ounce and silver at $92 per ounce, according to international media.
