China commences second phase of 6G technical trials

BEIJING: China has commenced the second phase of 6G technical trials following completion of the first phase, which yielded a reserve of more than 300 key 6G technologies, an official from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said on Wednesday.

China has established the world's largest information infrastructure, with the number of 5G base stations surpassing 4.8 million and 5G users exceeding 1.2 billion, ministry spokesperson Xie Cun said at a press conference.
