WASHINGTON DC: Chef Rajeev Shrestha, executive chef, and Deependra Singh, director of food and beverage, together with their team from Aloft Kathmandu Thamel, will represent Nepal in the return leg of the US–Nepal Gastronomy Exchange in Washington DC.
The event follows a successful first leg held in November and will showcase authentic Nepali cuisine to an international audience, highlighting the country’s culinary heritage, indigenous ingredients and traditional flavours.
The hospitality professionals will present a range of dishes intended to strengthen cultural ties between Nepal and the United States through gastronomy and to further position Nepali cuisine on the global stage.
The exchange aims to raise awareness of Nepal’s food traditions and to create opportunities for culinary collaboration and tourism promotion.
Aloft Kathmandu Thamel’s participation is part of a broader effort to introduce Nepali flavours to new markets and to build international recognition for the nation’s culinary offerings.
