ITAHARI: Batas MAW Commercial Vehicles opened a new Eicher 3S (Sales, Service & Spares) facility in Titriban, Ramdhuni Municipality, Sunsari district, on February 4, 2026. The outlet is intended to strengthen the company’s commercial vehicle sales and after‑sales presence in eastern Nepal and to improve vehicle availability for transporters and fleet operators in the region.
The inauguration was attended by local and industry leaders, including the deputy mayor of Ramdhuni Municipality, Tara Thapa; Vishnu Kumar Agarwal, chairman of MAW Group; Shanta Raj Batas, managing director of Batas MAW Commercial Vehicles; and Aman Arora, senior vice‑president and head of international business at VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV). Representatives from CNI and FNCCI, automobile associations, bankers, and leadership teams from MAW Group, BMCV and VECV joined customers and business partners at the event.
Hemant Puranik, vice president of MAW Enterprises, said the new 3S facility marks an important milestone for the company in the Itahari–Ramdhuni market and reflects a long‑term commitment to offering world‑class products and professional after‑sales service. He introduced the local team and outlined the facility’s capabilities to the assembled guests.
The outlet is equipped with trained technicians, advanced diagnostic equipment and a fully stocked spare parts centre, the company said, enabling faster repairs and higher vehicle availability. The integrated set‑up brings vehicle sales, modern service infrastructure and genuine spare parts under one roof to provide a seamless ownership experience.
Deputy mayor Thapa welcomed the investment, saying the modern dealership will support local economic development by creating jobs and promoting skill development in the community. Company leaders described the opening as a vote of confidence in eastern Nepal’s growing logistics and transportation ecosystem.
MAW Group chairman Agarwal emphasised the group’s disciplined approach to growth and institution building, noting that the dealership represents a vision for the future of mobility in the region. VECV senior vice‑president Arora highlighted the strength of the MAW–VECV partnership and said strong after‑sales support and customer proximity remain central to VECV’s strategy in Nepal, while previewing upcoming product offerings including the BS6 range and the Pro X series.
The event concluded with a formal inauguration, a vehicle showcase and a networking evening that brought together industry stakeholders, partners and customers. Shanta Raj Batas delivered the vote of thanks and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to expanding the Volvo Eicher network across Nepal to keep customers closer to quality products and dependable service.
