KATHANDU: Xiaomi has introduced the Redmi Note 15 to the Nepali market, calling it a blend of durable construction, long battery life and upgraded imaging and display features. The smartphone is available nationwide through authorised dealers Teledirect and Vatsal Impex.
The phone is built around a 6,000mAh battery that Xiaomi says can deliver up to two days of typical use, 24 hours of continuous video playback or 50 hours of calling on a single charge. The device supports 33W Turbo Charging and 18W Reverse Charging, and includes a Smart Charging Engine designed to manage battery health; Xiaomi claims the battery retains more than 80 per cent capacity after 2,000 charge cycles.
Durability is a central theme of the launch. The Redmi Note 15 follows Xiaomi’s “Titan Durability” concept, featuring IP64 dust and water resistance, Wet Touch Technology 2.0 for reliable touchscreen response when wet, and an ultra‑durable display glass rated to survive drops from up to 1.8 metres. Internally, the phone uses a shock‑absorption structure with a reinforced mid‑frame and a robust motherboard to protect critical components.
The 6.77‑inch AMOLED display offers a 120Hz refresh rate, 12‑bit colour depth, high contrast and a peak brightness of 3,200 nits. Xiaomi also notes 3840Hz PWM dimming to reduce flicker and eye strain, and certifications from TÜV Rheinland for low blue light and flicker‑free performance. Security features include an in‑screen fingerprint sensor and AI face unlock.
Photography capabilities include a 108MP main camera, a 3x optical telephoto lens, a 2MP depth sensor and a 20MP front camera, covering focal lengths from wide to telephoto. The device also offers a suite of AI imaging tools — AI Erase, AI Remove Reflection, AI Beautify, AI Sky and AI Bokeh — and supports Google Gemini and Google Circle to Search. Audio is handled by dual speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi‑Res support, and Xiaomi highlights a 300 per cent volume boost feature.
On the performance side, the Redmi Note 15 runs Xiaomi’s HyperOS on a 6nm MediaTek Helio G100‑Ultra chipset with an octa‑core CPU (up to 2.2GHz) and Mali‑G57 MC2 GPU. Memory and storage options include up to 8GB RAM and up to 512GB internal storage, with a hybrid SIM slot for expansion. Available configurations are 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB and 8GB + 512GB.
The Redmi Note 15 is offered in Glacier Blue, Purple, Forest Green and Black. The 6GB + 128GB model is priced at Rs 29,999, while the 8GB + 256GB variant is listed at Rs 35,999.
