KATHMANDU: Forty winners of CG Electronics’ World Cup Mumbai Trip Scheme have departed for Mumbai, India, to attend Nepal’s ICC T20 Men’s World Cup match against the West Indies at Wankhede Stadium.

The winners were officially seen off by the company on Friday and flew from Tribhuvan International Airport for a five-day trip. The tour marks the conclusion of a special World Cup campaign held from December 14, 2025, to January 26, 2026.

Thousands of customers entered the promotion via SMS after purchasing products from brands in the CG Electronics portfolio, including LG, CG, TCL, Black+Decker and Godrej. The 40 winners were selected through a digital lucky-draw process, the company said.

CG Electronics provided a complete travel package for the winners, including Kathmandu–Mumbai–Kathmandu return flights, accommodation and dining at star hotels, a city tour of Mumbai’s landmarks and premium match tickets at Wankhede Stadium so the winners could support the Nepali national team in person.

At the airport, the winners expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity, saying the trip would be an unforgettable moment in their lives.

Having served the Nepali market for more than 40 years, CG Electronics emphasised its dedication to customers and said it remains committed to introducing similar schemes in future to honour customer loyalty and trust.
