KATHMANDU: POCO, the smartphone brand owned by Xiaomi, has announced its return to the Nepali market after a three‑year absence. For its comeback, the brand has appointed Teletalk as its national distributor and launched three new models: the POCO X7 Pro 5G, POCO F7 5G and POCO F8 Pro 5G.
The brand, known among young people for its gaming and multitasking capabilities, says the new models reinforce its Performance First philosophy and that the partnership with Teletalk is expected to increase competition in the local smartphone sector while providing nationwide after‑sales service.
Teletalk Executive Director Pratik Jalan said, “We are excited to bring POCO back to the Nepali market. Designed with new features, powerful and fast chipsets, and long‑lasting batteries, these smartphones will provide the convenience of gaming, multitasking, and staying connected without compromise.” He added that the core essence of POCO is to make the daily lives of Nepalis easy and simple, and that the company remains committed to providing the best user experience.
The flagship POCO F8 Pro 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. It features a 6.59‑inch eye‑care AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, a 6,210 mAh battery with 100W fast charging, HyperOS 3 based on Android 16, and 12 GB RAM with 512 GB internal storage. Audio is delivered through stereo speakers tuned by Bose with Dolby Atmos support. The camera system comprises wide, telephoto and ultrawide lenses, and the device carries an IP68 rating. It is available in Titanium Silver, Blue and Black.
The POCO F7 5G is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor and a 6.83‑inch 1.5K AMOLED display. It has a 6,500 mAh battery with 90W wired charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging, runs Android 15, and comes with 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage. The model includes wide and ultrawide rear lenses, stereo speakers and an IP68 rating, and is offered in silver.
The POCO X7 Pro 5G uses a MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultra chipset and offers a 6.67‑inch CrystalRes AMOLED display at 120 Hz. It has a 6,000 mAh battery with 90W HyperCharge, runs Android 15 with HyperOS 2, and comes with 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage. The phone features stereo speakers, Hi‑Res audio support, a dual rear camera (wide and ultrawide) and an IP68 rating. It is available in black, green and yellow.
All three models carry an IP68 rating for water and dust protection and feature high‑quality front selfie cameras for video calling and photography. POCO says the devices will be distributed nationwide through Teletalk’s official showrooms and authorised outlets with after‑sales support.
Prices are set at Rs 55,999 for the POCO X7 Pro, Rs 69,999 for the POCO F7 and Rs 99,999 for the POCO F8 Pro. POCO is offering EMI facilities for up to nine months and a one‑year brand warranty on all models.
