Soaltee opens hilltop resort near Manakamana Temple in Gorkha

GORKHA: The Soaltee Hotels & Resorts has opened a new hilltop property, Soaltee Westend Resort Manakamana, in Manakamana, Gorkha district, the company announced on Wednesday. The resort is a five-minute walk from the sacred Manakamana Temple and is regarded as a strategic addition to the chain’s expansion across Nepal.

The 51-room resort is set amid green hills with panoramic mountain views and combines contemporary design with Nepali hospitality. Many rooms and suites offer uninterrupted views of the temple and surrounding landscape, the company said, and the property is intended to serve pilgrims, holidaymakers, corporate travellers and families.

Dining options at the resort include an all-day restaurant, a lobby bar, 24-hour in-room dining and poolside service. For events and gatherings, the property features a large banquet hall, a dedicated meeting room, a scenic terrace and a landscaped front lawn, making it suitable for weddings, conferences, retreats and social occasions.

Wellness and recreation are central to the guest experience.
