4.1 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Sankhuwasabha Early Morning

Kathmandu: A 4.1 magnitude earthquake was recorded in Sankhuwasabha district at 7:31am on Sunday morning.

The National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center in Lainchaur said the epicentre was near Ritak in Bhotkhola Rural Municipality. No immediate reports of damage or casualties have been received.

Earlier, a 3.9 magnitude earthquake struck near Bansar in Lamjung district on 25 January.

Nepal frequently experiences minor tremors due to its location in a seismically active region.
