Dove Provides NPR 1.5 Million Support to Sabitra Bhandari for Knee Injury Treatment

Kathmandu: Dove, under Unilever Nepal Ltd., has extended financial assistance of NPR 1.5 million to Nepal national women’s football team forward Sabitra ‘Samba’ Bhandari as she prepares to undergo treatment and rehabilitation for a serious knee injury.

The funding will contribute towards medical expenses and a structured recovery programme, as knee injuries typically require extended care and physiotherapy before an athlete can return to full match fitness. While details regarding the duration of her recovery have not been disclosed, the support is expected to ease part of the financial burden associated with her treatment.

Bhandari is widely recognised for her contribution to Nepali women’s football and has been a key figure in the national team’s recent campaigns. Her recovery will be closely followed by supporters awaiting her return to the pitch.
