Kathmandu: Gold prices slipped slightly in Nepal’s local bullion market on Friday after reaching a weekly high a day earlier, while silver posted a modest gain.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, hallmark gold is being traded at Rs 314,900 per tola, marking a decline of Rs 500 from Thursday’s rate of Rs 315,400 per tola.
In contrast, silver prices rose by Rs 15 per tola to reach Rs 5,740 per tola today.
Earlier this week, gold was priced at Rs 314,800 per tola on Tuesday and Wednesday, and Rs 313,500 on Monday, showing an overall upward trend before Friday’s slight correction. Silver has continued to record small daily fluctuations throughout the week.
