KATHMANDU: Fonepay has launched the third edition of its annual campaign 'Sakshyam Nari'. The month-long nationwide initiative, which began on March 1, will run until March 31, 2026, and aims to strengthen financial confidence among women through digital financial inclusion.

The campaign seeks to move beyond mere access to financial services and address gaps in trust, understanding and active usage. Fonepay said that while more women in Nepal now have access to financial services than before, the remaining barrier is often perception and confidence rather than availability.

This year’s edition challenges the long-standing notion that credit is something to be feared, repositioning credit as a tool for growth, investment and everyday convenience. Central to the campaign is the fully virtual Fonepay credit card, which can be activated through participating banks' mobile banking apps and used for secure transactions without a physical card.

“True financial inclusion is not just about providing services to people. It is about giving them the confidence to improve their lives using those services. Through Sakshyam Nari, we are helping women move from hesitation to confidence — from fear to financial freedom,” said Diwas Kumar, Chief Executive Officer of Fonepay.

The campaign is being conducted in collaboration with Siddhartha Bank, Laxmi Sunrise Bank, Kumari Bank, Everest Bank and Garima Bikas Bank. Eligible female customers of these banks can participate by activating their Fonepay credit card and completing a minimum of three transactions during the campaign period. The initiative is open to both new and existing users, with special arrangements to encourage first-time activations.

Fonepay has partnered with Sajuna Jewellers to offer prizes. Five winners from each participating bank will receive a special diamond jewellery set; this grand prize is reserved exclusively for new users who activate the Fonepay credit card for the first time during the campaign. In addition, 50 winners from each bank will receive discount vouchers worth Rs 5,000; both new and existing users who meet the participation criteria are eligible for these vouchers.

Through 'Sakshyam Nari 2026', Fonepay said it aims to inspire women across the country to take clearer, more independent financial decisions and to build their own financial futures.

Eligible customers have been asked to check their respective bank’s mobile banking app for details on participation and activation.
