Nepal Mediciti to offer free OPD services, discounted tests on World Kidney Day

KATHMANDU: Nepal Mediciti Hospital has launched a specialised health service programme to mark World Kidney Day.

The programme will offer free OPD services and discounted diagnostic tests to raise awareness of kidney health and importance of early detection.

As part of the initiative, the hospital will provide free OPD services in its Nephrology department on March 12 and will offer a 15% discount on various imaging and laboratory tests conducted during the event.

The programme is open to service seekers currently experiencing kidney issues, those at high risk, and individuals interested in regular health check-ups. Participants will be able to consult specialist doctors and access diagnostic services at reduced rates.

The hospital stated that the special facility is intended to encourage the timely identification and proper treatment of kidney-related diseases.

Medical experts at the hospital highlighted a growing health challenge, noting that the number of kidney disease patients is rising due to diabetes, high blood pressure and lifestyle factors, and that regular testing and awareness are essential.
