Kathmandu: Gold and silver prices saw a sharp decline in the domestic market on Friday.
Gold price fell by Rs 7,800 per tola, dropping below the Rs 300,000 mark to Rs 294,500, down from Rs 302,300 the previous day. The fall continues a recent downward trend, with prices now around Rs 45,000 lower than the record high.
Silver also declined by Rs 115 per tola and is now being traded at Rs 4,895, compared to Rs 5,010 on Thursday.
Despite the drop, prices of precious metals remain high compared to previous years.
