KATHMANDU: Vaidya Energy, Nepal’s leading electric two-wheeler brand, is set to roll out the Ather Rizta S across the country starting March 27, 2026, the company announced on Monday. Bookings for the new model are now open with an introductory, fully refundable deposit of Rs 999.
The Rizta S is positioned as a practical, family-oriented electric scooter aimed at accelerating the shift away from petrol-powered two-wheelers amid rising fuel costs. Vaidya Energy said the model combines comfort, everyday utility and value, and will be available through Ather Experience Centres nationwide.
Designed with Nepali households in mind, the Rizta S offers an IDC range of up to 123 km, fast-charging capability that adds around 15 km in 10 minutes, and a spacious 34-litre under-seat storage compartment.
The scooter has a top speed of 80 km/h and includes convenience features such as reverse mode, AutoHold and ParkAssist to ease riding in congested urban conditions.
The company highlighted warranty and ownership benefits, noting that the Rizta S will be offered with extended battery coverage of up to five years to provide long-term confidence for buyers transitioning to electric mobility.
Vaidya Energy said the Rizta S is a natural entry point into the Ather ecosystem, following the earlier Rizta Z launch at NAIMA Expo 2025, and that the new model is particularly suited to families seeking an economical, low-maintenance alternative to petrol scooters.
Early buyers will be eligible for exclusive introductory pricing, the company said, and customers were urged to book early because of limited introductory benefits and anticipated demand.
Bookings are now available for Rs 999, refundable, with full availability beginning on March 27, 2026, at Ather Experience Centres across Nepal.
