British PM Starmer discusses Middle East war developments with US President
LONDON: British Prime Minister Keir Starmer discussed developments in the Middle East war during a telephone call with US President Donald Trump.
The British Prime Minister's Office stated that Starmer and Trump discussed the current situation in the Middle East, specifically the need to reopen the Strait of Hormuz to resume global shipping.
The statement added that both sides agreed that reopening the Strait of Hormuz is "essential to ensure stability in the global energy market."
