Gold price hits Rs 288,500 per tola, silver Rs 4,920 per tola

KATHMANDU: The price of gold and silver has risen in the domestic market today, with fine gold jumping by Rs 14,600 per tola (11.66 grammes) and silver by Rs 415 per tola.

Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association (FENEGOSIDA) has set the price of fine gold at Rs 288,500 per tola and the price of the same quantity of silver at Rs 4,920.

The price of yellow metal was Rs 273,900 per tola, and the price of the same quantity of white metal was Rs 4,505 on Tuesday. On Monday, the price of gold was Rs 275,500 per tola, and silver was Rs 4,425; on Sunday, gold was Rs 282,000 per tola and silver was traded at Rs 4,540.

In the international market today, an ounce of gold is trading at $4,600 and an ounce of silver at $74, according to international media outlets.
