The Startup Network Nepal to host AI Summit Nepal 2026 on April 5

KATHMANDU: The Startup Network Nepal (TSN), in collaboration with Oorja World and with the US Embassy in Nepal as strategic partner, is set to host AI Summit Nepal 2026 in Lalitpur on April 5.

The one-day summit will bring together global experts, policymakers, industry leaders and innovators to explore the role of artificial intelligence in shaping Nepal’s economic and technological future. A high-level thought leadership session featuring senior figures from government, international institutions and the private sector will open the event.

The programme will centre on four thematic panel discussions. The AI & Compute Infrastructure session will focus on cloud computing, data systems and scalable infrastructure needed to enable AI innovation in Nepal, with participation from global technology providers including Amazon Web Services.

The AI & Society panel will address ethical considerations, inclusivity, workforce transformation and data privacy to ensure AI development benefits society responsibly.

A session on AI & the New Economy will explore how AI is reshaping industries, driving entrepreneurship and creating new economic opportunities for Nepal within the global digital economy.

A fourth panel, AI in Energy & Finance, will explore applications of AI in optimising energy systems and transforming financial services, including smart grids, fintech and digital payments. Representatives from Visa, WorldLink and other regional and Nepali stakeholders are expected to take part.

TSN said the summit aims to serve as a platform for collaboration, knowledge exchange and partnership-building, enabling startups, enterprises and institutions to leverage AI for sustainable development. With a diverse line-up of speakers and a forward-looking agenda, AI Summit Nepal 2026 is being positioned as a landmark event in the country’s technology calendar and a step towards strengthening Nepal’s role in the global AI ecosystem.
