KATHMANDU: Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Buds 8 Lite in Nepal, presenting the true wireless earbuds as a combination of comfort, audio performance and extended battery life for everyday use.
The Buds 8 Lite feature active noise cancellation and wind-noise reduction intended to suppress low‑frequency sounds such as subway rumble and air‑conditioning noise during outdoor activities, Xiaomi said. A dual‑microphone system with AI environmental noise cancellation (AI ENC) is included to isolate voices and improve call clarity for meetings and live conversations.
For audio, the earbuds use a 12.4 mm titanium‑diaphragm dynamic driver that Xiaomi said delivers greater depth and resolution. The Buds 8 Lite also offers customisable EQ settings so users can emphasise bass or treble according to personal preference.
Connectivity is highlighted by dual‑device pairing, allowing the earbuds to remain connected to two devices simultaneously and switch between calls and media without manual reconnection, Xiaomi said. The model also supports quick one‑tap pairing with new devices.
Battery life is a key selling point: the earbuds provide up to eight hours’ playback on a single charge, with a total of 36 hours when combined with the charging case, the company said. Xiaomi noted an approximately 14.2 per cent improvement in earbud battery life compared with previous models and said fast‑charge support delivers about two hours of music playback from a 10‑minute charge.
The Redmi Buds 8 Lite will be available in black and white, come with multiple ear‑tip sizes for a personalised fit, and are priced at Rs 4,199 in Nepal, Xiaomi said. The product includes a one‑year warranty, and users can download the Xiaomi Earbuds app for additional personalisation and feature controls.
