KATHMANDU: SPG Automobiles has introduced 11-year warranty on electric vehicle battery and motor components for selected Omoda, Jaecoo and ICAUR models. This is one of the longest EV warranty programmes in Nepal.

The company said the extended coverage increases the existing manufacturer warranty from eight years or 150,000 kilometres to 11 years or 240,000 kilometres for the traction battery pack, and to 11 years or 200,000 kilometres for the drive motor assembly, whichever comes first.

The extended warranty applies to the Omoda E5, Jaecoo J5, Jaecoo J6T and ICAUR V23 models, SPG Automobiles said, and is intended to strengthen customer confidence and make EV ownership more worry-free.

Director at SPG Automobiles, Gaurav Sharda, said, “Our extended warranty reflects our unwavering confidence in our vehicles’ advanced EV technology and our commitment to delivering exceptional service to our customers. At a time when the shift toward electric mobility is accelerating, we believe this initiative will play a pivotal role in building long-term trust and loyalty among our customers.”

The authorised distributor of Omoda, Jaecoo and ICAUR in Nepal said customers will receive comprehensive coverage for defects in the traction battery pack and drive motor assembly under the new policy.

The company added that it operates more than 18 sales outlets and 15 service centres nationwide and is steadily expanding its sales and charging infrastructure network.

Customers seeking further information about the updated warranty policy are encouraged to visit their nearest Omoda, Jaecoo or ICAUR showroom or authorised service centre.
