SEOUL: LG Electronics unveiled region-specific home appliances and its long-term growth strategy for the Asia-Pacific market at LG InnoFest 2026 APAC in Busan from April 7 to 10.
The event, the finale of LG’s 2026 InnoFest series, brought together more than 200 partners and media representatives from around 20 countries under the theme 'Innovation, Forward Together.' LG said the showcase demonstrates how its K Tech innovations are adapted to local lifestyles across diverse Asian markets.
LG expanded its laundry line-up with a full WashTower series that now includes a new 25-inch model designed for smaller Asian homes, alongside 24-inch and 27-inch options. The company also introduced new top-load washers featuring Artificial Intelligence Direct Drive (AI DD) to optimise wash motions by fabric and soil level, and TurboWash 3D technology that completes cycles in under 30 minutes. An automatic dispenser that measures and dispenses detergent per load was highlighted as a convenience feature for busy households.
The company emphasised energy efficiency in drying solutions with the new LG WashCombo, which uses Inverter HeatPump technology, and an expanded stand-alone dryer range. LG also showcased commercial laundry equipment built for heavy use, including a new commercial washer-dryer HeatPump Combo that integrates washing and drying in one unit, with plans for global expansion following demand in Korea.
In the kitchen category, LG introduced refrigerators with a Fit & Max design and a Zero Clearance Hinge to maximise storage in compact kitchens, and an advanced Ice Solution offering four ice options to meet high ice consumption in the region. The latest dishwasher model delivers a one-hour wash and dry cycle using QuadWash Pro and Dynamic Heat Dry+ technology, and key models across segments achieve A-grade energy efficiency.
For Southeast Asian markets, LG unveiled a tailored built-in kitchen collection for both B2B and B2C customers, featuring ovens, cooktops and hoods. A notable product is the Camera Oven, which uses an internal camera to identify ingredients, recommend cooking modes and monitor surface colour to determine doneness.

LG also used the event to demonstrate its AI Home vision. The company showcased ThinQ ON, an AI Home Hub that connects appliances and IoT devices to deliver coordinated, intelligent home experiences; ThinQ ON has begun rolling out in select markets and will be phased across Asia, starting with Australia and Thailand. For the first time at InnoFest, LG hosted live commerce sessions for partners in selected markets and arranged three exhibition zones that reflect different Asian home environments, with spatial designs inspired by popular Korean dramas.
As part of its broader market strategy, LG announced plans to expand LG Subscribe, a flexible subscription service for home appliances, into urbanised Asian markets, including Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore and Vietnam, offering appliance access and product care.
“Asia is one of our most dynamic and important markets, and InnoFest 2026 gives us a valuable opportunity to connect with our partners and share our vision for the future,” said Jaeseung Kim, Regional CEO of LG Electronics Asia Pacific. “Building on our technology innovation, we are advancing AI-powered home solutions that reflect local lifestyles.”
LG Electronics said the Busan event aims to strengthen regional partnerships and outline LG’s direction for product innovation and services that address the everyday needs of Asian consumers.
