TOKYO: A delegation from the International Relations and Global Diplomacy Dialogue (IRGDD), Nepal, led by Dr Sarmila Parajuli Dhakal, held a high-level meeting with the International Cooperation Bureau of Keidanren in Tokyo.

The meeting aimed to discuss deepening economic ties with Japan.

Keidanren, Japan’s leading business federation representing more than 1,500 companies and about 100 sectoral industry associations, took part in talks aimed at expanding private-sector engagement and bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, Ambassador Dr Parajuli outlined Nepal’s evolving economic landscape and reiterated the country’s commitment to creating an investment-friendly environment. She stressed the role of economic diplomacy in linking policy with business and called the relationship between the two countries a 'strong and trusted partnership'.

Representatives from Keidanren welcomed a recent high-level visit from Nepal. Both sides emphasised the need for continued high-level exchanges, frequent visits and sustained policy-level dialogue to translate political goodwill into concrete business opportunities.
