Dinesh Sunar receives special congressional recognition in US
KATHMANDU: Dinesh Sunar, an international parkour athlete and multiple Guinness World Records holder, has been honoured with a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition by Thomas R Suozzi, representative for New York’s Third Congressional District.
The certificate, issued under the authority of the United States Congress, carries official institutional significance and is presented by US lawmakers to recognise individuals or organisations for notable achievements, community service and positive societal impact.
The honour recognises Sunar’s record-breaking accomplishments across the United States between 2020 and 2025. During that period, he set multiple Guinness World Records in different states while engaging with local communities.
Beyond his athletic success, Sunar has led youth inspiration and outreach programmes, promoted fitness, discipline and positive lifestyles, and contributed to community service and volunteer initiatives.
His efforts have inspired many people to pursue their goals and to maintain a healthy, focused life.
