KATHMANDU: A free homeopathic clinic at Gaushala Dharamshala, run by Jain Mahila Mandal Kathmandu, has marked 25 years of continuous service.
The women-led initiative has become a steady presence in local healthcare, providing free treatment to a wide cross-section of the community. Jain Mahila Mandal Kathmandu said the clinic has treated more than 200,000 patients since it opened a quarter-century ago.
The facility operates daily from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm and offers homeopathic care for a range of conditions, from kidney stones to facial paralysis, building trust through consistent, long-term service.
Prema Nahata, President of Jain Mahila Mandal Kathmandu, said the milestone underlines the organisation’s commitment to expanding access to free homeopathic treatment. She emphasised her belief in homeopathy as a long-term healing approach that does not harm organs and is free from side effects, and encouraged more people to consider it as a viable option.
The clinic’s quarter-century of work highlights the role of grassroots, women-led efforts in filling gaps in community healthcare, and the project’s longevity reflects compassion, accessibility and sustained volunteer effort.
The clinic stands as an example of how small, community-driven health initiatives can deliver lasting impact through steady, locally rooted care.
