KATHMANDU: CG, Nepal’s largest electronics brand, has expanded its Smart Domestic Appliances (SDA) line-up with a new high-performance stand fan aimed at meeting rising demand for effective cooling during the summer months.

The company introduced the CGMRSF18Z05, an 18-inch model in its premium Meridia series. The addition brings the Meridia range to three models and broadens CG’s overall stand fan portfolio to 15 models, the largest selection available in the Nepali market.

The new Meridia fan is built around a robust motor designed for continuous operation and delivers a top speed of 1,150 rpm. Its 18-inch sweep and aerodynamically designed five-leaf aluminium blades are intended to move air quickly and evenly across large rooms, while four speed settings and wide-angle oscillation let users tailor airflow to their needs. CG also offers a two-year warranty on the motor.

The launch forms part of a three-tier product strategy: the premium Meridia series (three models), a mainstream CG stand fan range (nine models) for everyday use, and Farrata industrial fans (three models) for high-capacity airflow needs. According to the company, this structure allows it to serve a wide spectrum of consumer budgets and use cases, from homes and offices to large halls and industrial spaces.

“We do not just sell products; we also sell trust built over 40 years,” a CG Electronics official said, highlighting the brand’s long presence in the market and its after-sales commitments.

The company said the new fan and its other appliances are available through 28 showrooms nationwide (CG Digital and LG Shoppe), an authorised dealer network, and online at cgdigital.com.np. CG added that after-sales service and technical support are provided through more than 40 service centres across the country.

Using its slogan 'Experience Life with CG,' the company said the range offers a package of premium experience, safety and savings to Nepali consumers facing a changing climate and rising temperatures.
