KATHMANDU: Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) has completed preparations for the national‑level Women Leadership Summit 2026, which will be held in Biratnagar, Koshi Province, on May 4.
The summit will be jointly organised by CNI and CNI Koshi Province, in collaboration with the Koshi Province government, Ministry of Social Development Koshi, Biratnagar Metropolitan City, and the Department of Industry. CNI’s Women Leadership Forum will coordinate the event.
Speaking at a press briefing at the CNI Secretariat on Thursday, CNI President Birendra Raj Pandey said the summit will focus on “agriculture, skills, creativity, and digital innovation towards sustainable prosperity.” He said the programme will include activities to enhance women’s leadership, promote local agriculture, and support skills, innovation and entrepreneurship. An exhibition of domestic products made by entrepreneurs will also be held.
On the occasion, Vidushi Rana, Chair of CNI's Women Leadership Forum, said the summit’s highlights will include presentations of success stories by women entrepreneurs, discussions on digital innovation involving Fonepay, an exhibition of domestic products, and networking opportunities for entrepreneurs, policymakers, private sector representatives and development partners.
The conference’s keynote speaker will be Pawan Golyan, chairman emeritus of Golyan Group, and Sabina Kafle will attend as a special guest. CNI said the summit aims to bring together women entrepreneurs, policymakers, development partners, financial institutions and industrialists to promote inclusive economic growth and sustainable prosperity.
