KATHMANDU: With temperatures expected to climb again after recent rains, CG Electronics has introduced eight BLACK+DECKER air-cooler models for Nepali homes and offices. The company has urged consumers to take health precautions and to keep indoor environments cool and clean.

The US brand’s new line-up includes compact units for personal rooms and larger models for halls and open spaces. CG Electronics said the range features UV-grade polymer bodies that resist cracking and colour fading under intense sunlight, a premium white finish suited to modern interiors, and aerodynamic fans engineered for low-noise operation.

Moreover, the coolers use antibacterial honeycomb pads to filter microscopic particles and bacteria, and come with inverter-compatible motors designed to run efficiently on Nepal’s variable electricity supply.

Available models include KIBO (30L/45L), NEBO (55L) in a tower design, KAMET PLUS (65L/85L/105L) for high-capacity cooling, and LHOTSE PLUS (65L/85L) in the premium segment.

CG Electronics, which has been active in the Nepali electronics market for more than 40 years, said the products are sold through 28 CG Digital and LG Shoppee showrooms nationwide, an authorised dealer network, and online at cgdigital.com.np. Each cooler carries a 12-month comprehensive warranty and is supported by the company’s nationwide after-sales service network.

The company emphasised the importance of maintaining balanced body temperature amid post-monsoon humidity and the risk of heatwaves, and recommended that households adopt simple measures to keep indoor air healthy while using the new coolers.
