KATHMANDU: MetLife Nepal and Khalti Suraksha have launched 'Suraksha 360', a digital insurance plan on the Khalti mobile app that combines life and health protection into a single, quick-to-purchase product.

Aimed at mobile-first users, the plan allows customers to buy coverage in minutes using basic personal details, with reduced paperwork and simplified steps through a platform widely used in Nepal. Suraksha 360 bundles Loss of Life, Accidental Death and Permanent Disability, Critical Illness cover and Accidental Medical Expenses under one policy to address major life and health risks.

The product is offered in three tiers — Silver, Gold and Platinum — with coverage options ranging from Rs 2.3 million to Rs 4.6 million. Annual premiums start at Rs 3,810, depending on the chosen package. The plan is available to Nepalis aged 18 to 50.

“Suraksha 360 supports customers at every life stage, offering accessible insurance through a trusted digital platform. By simplifying insurance purchases, we aim to encourage more Nepalis to take an informed step toward financial protection,” said Arun Bahadur Basnet, Chief Distribution Officer at MetLife Nepal.

MetLife, founded in 1868, has operated in Nepal since 2001 and provides life, accident and health insurance as well as employee benefits. Khalti Suraksha is the insurance arm of Khalti, creating digitally accessible insurance solutions integrated within the Khalti app to enable users to explore, compare and buy products without lengthy paperwork.
