BHAKTAPUR: National Forum of Parliamentarians on Population and Development, in collaboration with the National Youth Council, will host a two-day workshop titled 'Digital Literacy, AI Readiness, and Responsible Digital Leadership for National Youth Council Officials' from Saturday in Bhaktapur.

The National Youth Council said the workshop aims to strengthen the digital literacy, AI readiness, cybersecurity awareness and responsible digital leadership skills of its officials and representatives. The programme will include interactive discussions and practical sessions on digital governance, responsible use of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, online safety, youth digital engagement and digital transformation.

The Foundation for the Future is contributing to the programme through curriculum design and technical facilitation to ensure participants gain both theoretical understanding and practical digital leadership skills.

The workshop is being hosted with financial and technical support from the United Nations Population Fund and technical collaboration from the Foundation for the Future.

The Council said the initiative will play an important role in enhancing the long-term digital readiness of the National Youth Council and in promoting youth-centred digital governance across Nepal, at a time when digital transformation and AI adoption are becoming increasingly important for public institutions and youth organisations.
