KATHMANDU: The Council of Ministers today appointed Mukesh Dangol, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, as Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN).
The appointment was made at a Cabinet meeting held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar, Government Spokesperson and Minister for Education and Sports Sasmit Pokharel said.
The Cabinet also decided to release the report of the Cooperatives Fraud Probe Commission, 2082, the minister added.
In agricultural policy, the government fixed the minimum support price for paddy for fiscal year 2026/27 at Rs 3,660 to Rs 3,860 per quintal.
The Cabinet approved a "Letter of Replying" to be sent to the Government of China concerning implementation of the Nepal–China (Chilime–Kyirong) cross‑border power transmission line, Minister Pokharel said.
