Premier Distillery launches new spirit brand 8 Peaks in Nepal

KATHMANDU: Premier Distillery, Nepal’s leading distillery, has launched a new spirit brand called '8 Peaks', expanding its range of premium alcoholic beverages in Nepal.

The company said 8 Peaks is made using water sourced from Himalayan glacial streams and is produced through copper-still fractional distillation followed by Russian charcoal and silver filtration. Premier Distillery said the combined process removes congeners and impurities to produce a spirit with enhanced smoothness and clarity.

Premier Distillery, already known in Nepal for products including The Himalayan Reserve Blended Whisky, Old Monk 7-Year-Old Rum, Old Monk Legend Rum and Black Stallion, said 8 Peaks 'carries the story of our nation’s natural history' and is bottled in transparent glass with a sky-blue label.

A nationwide consumer taste survey conducted by the company reportedly gave 8 Peaks a 99% approval rating, a result Premier Distillery said reinforces its confidence in the product’s market potential.

The product will be available across major cities in Nepal within the next 15–20 days and will be sold in 750 ml, 375 ml and 180 ml bottles.
