KATHMANDU: IME Khalti has launched Khalti Stock Hub, a new service that brings share market information into the Khalti mobile app. The service was unveiled during Khalti Jatra 2083, the annual festival organised by the company.
Launched at the festival, the app offers free access to live NEPSE data, lists of top gainers and losers, the IPO pipeline and other market indicators. Khalti said users can now view live share prices, track IPOs, use built‑in calculators and check dividend schedules from a single app.
Khalti said it is the first digital wallet in Nepal to provide live share prices and related market tools within the same application. The company noted that although millions of demat accounts exist in Nepal, many investors have remained disconnected from secondary market trading because of limited access to accurate information and reliable tools. Khalti Stock Hub aims to close that gap by giving users market data and analytical tools to help them make informed decisions before trading through a broker.
However, the platform is not a trading venue. Instead, it supplies market information and analytical aids so investors can assess conditions and decide when to trade via licensed brokers.
Key features of Khalti Stock Hub include a live market dashboard with real‑time NEPSE index updates, top turnover lists and last traded prices of listed companies; six financial calculators covering transactions, averaging, adjustments, dividend, compounding and SIP; and consolidated tracking for upcoming IPO announcements, application dates, dividend payment schedules and promoter share unlock dates.
Praveen Regmi, CEO of IME Khalti, said, “Nepal's capital market belongs to every Nepali, not just the experts. Due to the lack of correct information and easy tools, millions of citizens have not been able to trade even after opening a demat account. From a farmer in Jumla to a worker in Qatar, everyone will be able to understand the share market, track it, and make thoughtful investments right from their Khalti app. Khalti is no longer just a medium for digital payment; it is an Experience Platform that teaches financial discipline and an investment culture to the Nepalis.”
Users can access Khalti Stock Hub by updating the Khalti app and tapping the Khalti Stock Hub icon on the home screen. The service is available on both Android and iOS at no extra cost and requires no additional registration.
