KATHMANDU: Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Zhang Maoming paid a courtesy call on Vice‑President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav at the Vice President’s office in Lainchaur on Wednesday to discuss bilateral ties and future cooperation.
The office of the Vice‑President said the two officials discussed Nepal‑China relations based on peaceful co‑existence, mutual respect and long‑term friendship, along with economic cooperation and plans for future collaboration.
Praising the progress China has made over the last four decades, Vice‑President Yadav emphasised the importance of a partnership with China in trade, tourism, infrastructure, energy, and technology transfer between the two countries.
Ambassador Zhang said he was committed to taking Nepal‑China relations to new heights and added that China has given high priority to its ties with Nepal and that he would work for the prosperity of the people of both countries.
