DHAKA: Bangladesh's earnings from total goods exports in the first 11 months of the current fiscal year, which ends this month, fell by 2.55% year on year to nearly $44 billion.
According to the latest official statistics of Bangladesh's Export Promotion Bureau, the country fetched $43.799 billion from exports in the July–May period of the 2025–26 fiscal year, compared with $44.946 billion a year earlier.
The country shipped goods worth $4.40 billion in May, the 11th month of the current fiscal year (July 2025–June 2026), which was 7.07% lower than the same month a year earlier.
Of the total, Bangladesh earned $35.31 billion from exports of ready-made garments, including knitwear and woven items.
Bangladesh has set its export target for the 2025–26 fiscal year at $55 billion, including nearly $45 billion from ready-made garment products.
