KATHMANDU: Vaidya's Organisation has been announced as the official distributor and importer of Ultraviolette electric motorcycles in Nepal.
Previously, the Indian premium electric motorcycle maker Ultraviolette had its sales and imports in Nepal handled by Kedia Group, which sold and distributed the brand in the country.
According to Vaidya's Organisation, the dealership aligns with its market expansion plans, and the company will focus on delivering a premium showroom experience, building service infrastructure and establishing an after-sales network to support customers nationwide.
Ultraviolette Automotive CEO and Co-founder Narayan Subramaniam welcomed the partnership, saying it will help grow the brand’s presence in Nepal. “We are excited to partner with Vaidya's Organisation to further strengthen and expand the Ultraviolette experience in Nepal. This collaboration is an important chapter in our global journey as we rapidly expand internationally with our flagship products, the F77 series. These motorcycles are designed and manufactured in India, reflecting our commitment to design, technology, and performance, and they are an excellent example of next-generation mobility,” he said.
He added that Vaidya's Organisation has proven experience with premium motorcycle brands and that the two companies will provide customers with a complete ecosystem, from product offerings and advanced technology to after-sales service.
Suryansh Vaidya, CEO at Vaidya Energy, said the arrival of Ultraviolette will change the EV motorcycle market in Nepal. “The Nepali automobile market is evolving rapidly. Today's customers are not just looking for vehicles for commuting; they also desire technology, outstanding performance, premium design, and a world-class ownership experience. We are confident that with the addition of Ultraviolette to our portfolio, Nepal's EV motorcycle market will enter a completely new era,” he said.
Meanwhile, Vaidya's Organisation plans to introduce Ultraviolette’s X-47 Crossover to Nepal and has announced that pre-bookings for the model will begin soon. The company has also opened bookings for the original Ultraviolette F77 and the F77 Recon, setting starting prices at Rs 811,000 for the F77 and Rs 969,000 for the F77 Recon.
The F77 is equipped with a 10.3 kWh battery pack and claims a 323 km IDC range on a single charge. The motorcycle features a 30 kW electric motor producing 100 Nm of torque, a 0–60 km/h time of 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 155 km/h. The model includes a 39-level traction control system, a 10-level regenerative braking system, Dynamic Stability Control that integrates regenerative braking with ABS, and a hill-hold feature to aid uphill starts.
The X-47 Crossover is presented as the world’s first motorcycle in its segment to feature an integrated radar and is aimed at daily riders, adventure seekers, and enthusiasts. Vaidya's Organisation said it will roll out bookings and further details in the coming weeks.
