FNCCI nominates chairpersons for councils, committees

KATHMANDU: Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) on Monday nominated a slate of chairpersons and advisors for its councils and committees.

FNCCI President Anjan Shrestha has nominated former FNCCI President Mahesh Lal Pradhan as chair of the Advisory Committee and former President Kush Kumar Joshi as chair of the Expert Council.

Krishna Prasad Sharma, FNCCI Vice President (District-Municipal Chambers), has been nominated to chair the Industry Commerce Council, with Dil Sundar Shrestha as co-chair. Naresh Lal Shrestha, Vice President (Commodity), has been nominated to lead the Commodity Council, and Prabal Jung Pandey, Vice President (Associate), has been nominated to head the Employers Council.

In other appointments, Shiva Prasad Ghimire has been nominated to lead the Agro Enterprise Centre (AEC); Arniko Rajbhandary has been nominated to the Tax and Revenue Committee; Ujjwal Kumar Shrestha has been nominated to the Industry Committee; Naveen Rijal has been nominated to the Trade Committee; and Sunita Nhemaphuki has been nominated to the Women Entrepreneurship Development Committee.

Likewise, Sunaina Ghimire has been nominated to lead the ICT Development Committee; Lilendra Prasad Pradhan has been nominated to the Road Transport and Transit Committee; Shangharsa Bista has been nominated to the Tourism and Air Transport Committee; Hemant Golchha has been nominated to head the Bank, Finance and Insurance Committee; Hom Prasad Ghimire has been nominated to the Export Promotion Committee; and Sabin Shrestha has been nominated to the Trade Fair Committee.

Additional nominations include Bidur Dhamala for the Urban Development Committee; Biplab Adhikari for the Health Sciences Committee; Nani Raj Ghimire for the Skill Development and Employment Committee; Sahara Joshi for the Startup and Innovation Committee; Priya Raj Regmi for the Capital Market Committee; Raj Kumar Karki for the Social Service Committee; and Rabin Puri for the Productivity and Quality Committee.

President Shrestha said the executive committee members have been nominated to lead the various committees in accordance with Article 37 of the FNCCI statute, adding, "The nominated chairpersons are expected to play an important role in further advancing the image and reputation of FNCCI more strongly."
