- Bringing global leadership in dishwashers, front‑load washing machines and built‑in kitchen solutions to Nepal’s premium appliance market
KATHMANDU: BSH Home Appliances, part of Germany’s BSH Hausgeräte GmbH, opened its first dedicated Bosch Brand Store in Jawalakhel, Lalitpur, on Monday. The move expands the company’s presence in Nepal’s premium home appliance market through a partnership with Laxmi Group.
The store showcases Bosch’s range across refrigeration, laundry, dishwashing, food preparation and built-in kitchen solutions. Company officials said the outlet will offer hands-on demonstrations, expert consultations and an opportunity for consumers to experience Bosch’s engineering and technology firsthand.
According to BSH, the launch reflected a strategic commitment to Nepal as urbanisation, rising incomes and changing lifestyles increased demand for premium, technology-led appliances that deliver convenience, efficiency and hygiene. The company highlighted laundry, dishwashing and built-in kitchen appliances as key categories for growth.
Bosch said front-load washing machines account for more than 70–80% of laundry sales in Nepal, making the country one of the region’s strongest front-load markets. The company added that its washing machines draw on more than 70 years of expertise and are engineered for durability, resource efficiency and garment care.
Meanwhile, dishwashers were identified as an emerging category in Nepal, with adoption still at an early stage but rising due to changing household dynamics, increased hygiene awareness and a growing number of dual-income families. Bosch said many Nepalis who have lived abroad are introducing dishwashers to their families, helping to raise awareness of the category’s time- and resource-saving benefits.
The company is expanding its built-in appliance offerings to meet demand for modular kitchens and integrated living spaces. Bosch said its ovens, hobs and hoods combine advanced sensor technology with contemporary design while remaining simple to operate.

Bosch said it planned further investments in retail, consumer education, after-sales service and portfolio expansion across refrigeration, laundry, dishwashing and built-in kitchen categories.
